Hey there, Ryan fans. (I said this to create a spirit of rivalry.)
I just started up Pokemon Yellow.
Professor Oak (who would have me believe that people call him the POKEMON PROF) is telling me that this world is inhabited by Pokemon. I guess some people use them as pets while others battle them. Professor Oak is trying to establish himself as an outside by saying he doesn’t do either, but instead studies them. I get it, Oak. You’re a rebel.
